Hi I have 2 new tachs that I would like to use -- they are marked outboard only... What is the difference and can they be used with a v-8? There is a 2 position switch on the back labelled pole 10 and pole 12.

Most likely not. Those actually run off the alternator, I believe.

just found the info on the faria website.. -- you are correct they will not work.
