Open the bitmap in Micrsoft Paint and save as a jpeg.

Try this, open it in paint, then pull down "file", then "save as" then pull down "file type" and select JPEG. Click "save"

I use paint shop pro, resize it, get better clearer hues and then save as jpg and increase compression a tad to get them small enough to post here.
Damn BMP's 200 K for a 15 K jpg of the same damn thing

Jason

PS can send me pics, Ill resize them , spruce them up for you and convert them and send them back for you, no charge, Gee im feeling happy today

Doesn't give me .jpeg as an option on the "save as file type" pull down. . Only 24 bit, 16 color, 256 color, monochrome bitmap options.........

Try VuePrint from Hamrick software http://www.hamrick.com/ it is free to try and cheap to register ($40 free upgrades for life) easy options to convert to any file type. Also can adjust quality for post size. And no I'm not a salesman or rep I have just used this software for a number of years.
