Hi,

I have the split - gear and throttle levers - in my Advantage Victory. Increasing throttle is very stiff, but on the return its super smooth. It seems that maybe the stiffness is a design intent...is that the case?

Is it possible to adjust this? My wife has a hard time pushing the throttle forward.

Disconnect the cables 1st before you do anything

Maybe they purposely design that way to keep wives out of the driver seat. Lol. I agree with class6. I'd detach cables in bilge and see how they react.

What kind of throttles are they. The ones I've had and been into had resistance adjustment however resistance was set the same for either direction.

It sounds like someone may of put an overly stiff throttle return spring on to compensate for a crappy cable.

or just bad cable in general. I could see where the cat whiskers on a bad cable could snag one direction and not the other.

This should be an easy process of elimination....

I'm pretty sure its a Gaffrig.


thanks for the tips so far. I guess it could be the cable only in 1 direction like you mentioned. It's just odd that the stiffness going forward is so consistent every time. I'll play around with it.
