Some pictures on threads are not showing up. The image shows text, suggesting to "upgrade account to enable 3rd party hosting"

That is because Photobucket and some other third party pic hosting sites now charge $$$ for a user to enable 3rd party hosting.
The person who posted the pics has not paid for their service.

Recommend attaching your pics directly to your OSO threads.

I'm a platinum member and I can't load pictures, sad but I've just about given up on this site. Check in maybe once a month.

His question was about hot links from 3rd party pic sites.

As for loading your pics here:

It's not the site. Pics load fine. All you do is hit go advanced on the reply screen and it gives the option to upload up to 10 pics. I do it several times a week and loaded at least 30-40 on my Skater repower thread.

The only reason pics won't load and post with a paid membership is because they are too large.
