I found a 2007 35 executioner with 496's and trailer for $62,000... 323 hrs on motors. One challenge it's in St. Lucia ( registered in Delaware ). Owner said he would get it to Miami. Correspondence has been thru local marina, don't have owner info... I'm guessing a survey would probably not be a bad idea... At that price I feel like I'd have funds for upgrades as needed and still be under NADA. Or would you recommend running from a salt water boat? At that price, I'm surprised it hasn't been sold yet... Maybe a reason?9

There were many of those EXs built with 496s during that time frame. It is below market $ but if it was me I would be looking at something stateside that I can have surveyed and gone over engine/drives. Of course the marina is going to work with you, it's their customer trying to sell the boat. It's in their interest to help him sell it. Been to St Lucia and Im willing to bet a performance boat down there is not up to the standards you would want to mess with.

Salt water is very tough on boats, but if properly maintained, it is not something that should outright rule something out. It all depends on how well or how poorly something has been maintained. Having said that, I would not go any further on this boat. That is not a KILLER deal by any means and my intuition tells me this has "NIGHTMARE" written all over it. You should be able to do better with a boat here in the US that you can see and survey.

I have a very nice 2007 Fountain 35 Executioner with 496 HO's. 310 total hours and a freshwater boat. It also comes with a nice Myco steel trailer matched for the boat. The price will be a little more than the one in St. Lucia (still significantly less than NADA) but mine is in Alabama and comes with a very nice Myco trailer. I just replaced all of the brakes (new calipers, rotors, pads, seals, and bearings). If you are interested give me a call at 205-585-8408. Either way you go I think the 35 Executioner is a great package. I have owned two 35 Executioners and love just how easy they are to run. The 496's are about as reliable as marine motors go and the boats are small enough to trailer easily and big enough to handle most water. Good luck with your search.

I follow 35 Executioners on the market just for interest, One of my favorite boats.
The ad says "recently serviced (May 2015)" which means it hasn't been touched for over 2 years. It states top speed @ 85mph. Factory testing claimed 78+ mph so I doubt 85 is correct. Trim tabs are referred to as "huge Kplanes" not 380 K-planes. All stupid stuff but suggests to me the broker may not have full knowledge of the boat.

Inaccurate advertising is a pet hate of mine. It's not hard to print correct info.

35 Executioners can't be in short supply can they?

Agreed, they are not 85 mph boats. Both of mine are 76-78 Mph boats and incredibly stable at speed.

You have much less legal recourse when you buy outside the country. I would never do it. Enough trouble to be had from stateside folks. Keep looking, don't be in a hurry, plenty of 35s around. I know of a brackish water 35 here in Clear Lake for sale for $60,000 if interested. It runs great. It was featured in Powerboat Magazine about 10 years ago.
