Default Prop Rake Adjustment SSM?

Can the rake on a SSM prop be changed/adjusted? I have a set of SSM props that I plan on running on my 38 Scarab, but they need to be 18 degree props. I was told the props I have are most likely 18 degree, but as we know "most likely" doesn't mean much. When I have these trued, and if I find out they are lets say, 16 degree, can they be adjusted to 18 degree?

You can "trick" the propellers. KAAMA drives limit your ability to create transom leverage and bow lift. There are some aggressive options we can offer you.
You can not cut the blades off and re-attach them at a higher angle.
We can help. Call us and I can explain the process to you if you like.

Thank you,
Brett

Brett, how much diameter can be reduced on a #6 cleaver? Can a 17” be reduced to 16”? Can a 18” go down to 16”? How much diameter is lost by turning one of these props into a round war style cleaver?

Thanks- But just an FYI, this is not a KAAMA drive Scarab. All of the 377 flat deck Scarabs, are KAAMA editions, most all of them came with TRS drives. Mine is being rigged with boxes and #4 drives, with a notched transom.

All prop castings start at 18" +.
We can cut them down to any diameter. Maintaining correct thicknesses and pitch progression is the art form.
Round ear diameter decreases are determined by the radius decided upon.
