Default City Marina Key West

We are planning on taking the boat down to key west next year for the races/poker run. I am on the list for the galleon as that is where the other boat we are going with goes every year. I was able to get in at city marina with a confirmed reservation. My question is has anyone docked there during that week? Was the experience good or bad?

City marina is a nice spot and it's the most protected of all of them. Never heard comments good or bad but a confirmed reservation is gold.

We've used the city marina for years, never had any trouble with them, always great to deal with. It's a lot cheaper than the other private marinas, think there's 4 total where the Galleon is but it's less expensive than all four. There is also a fuel dock and ramp in case you break and have to tow out of Key West. The ramp can handle large boats. The fuel dock is never crowded.

I have been following the thread about the galleon. I honestly think that I will not get a slip there that is why I booked at the city marina. I don't know how many other slips they have available but it was $78.00 per night for my 38' boat. I don't care which marina I am in as long as I am boating in the keys since this is a bucket list boating destination for me and I don't need to be front and center since I am sure no one wants to see my old fountain.

You have the right mindset! We used the ramp at City Marina and docked over at stock island, you will be happy with your choice.
