Default Survey cost , any around charleston sc?

i am in the market for a center console and found one I like in charleston sc. ( I am in Tampa Bay Area) . Couple years old, looks super clean one owner and all that. I mechanically inclined and can check it out myself but due to distance was thinking if I got a surveyor to look at it first I could just go grab it or even get shipping costs. I have bought and sold numerious boats but not for this much $$ and from this distance away. Any advice?

Also IMO a mechanical inspection and look for one whom has a certification for the engine brand.

If you normally check your own stuff out , drive up to check it out. Make arrangements with ur bank or however ur gonna pay so if it checks out you take it home. I have watched a few surveyors in action over the years and the only reason I ever use them is for insurance requirements .
