They only show a fraction of the machining process and tolerances that go into these engines

when I toured the bowling green corvette factory last fall, they had a portion that was for the Z06 engine building. the other engines cames from the plant in the video.
everyone can go for a tour at the corvette bowling green plant by the way ! If you have to visit one and only one plant in your life, might as well be the corvette one !

They are tighter, which is one of the reasons they went to lighter oil. 5-20 0-20

Looks like you are right! Then just go to the museum! Nice place too. Special to see the marks on the floor where the concrete broke and went down with the cars! Such a big area its incredible!
