Default LOTO Advice

We plan to attend next years shootout for the first time. Camden appears to be booked already. Can some point me in the right direction to find a house/condo? I'm not that familiar with the Lake, so I don't want to book something that ultimately won't be what we want. A slip is needed for a 38' Gun. Thanks in advice.

Try VRBO and rent a condo for the week or weekend. Usually they all offer a slip for a little extra per night.
try looking at The Ledges. Lots of privat rental condos there and right in the middle of the lake.

try lazy days located in state park. you will be right next to pb1 boat ramp where most off the big boats put in. nice condos and docks.

Lazy Days is a nice spot. Only trouble is you have to go through the two mile no wake on Saturday and sundays to get to any other parts of the lake.

How many people????

I would recommend The Ledges. It is a very central location by both land and water.
Lots of condos on VRBO for rent there with slips big enough for a 38.
A friend of mine also manages several rental condos there. Contact Jason @ http://lakeoftheozarksrentalproperties.com/
Make sure to get water front. They have some second tier buildings that are that a little cheaper, but being waterfront is worth it.
The best views are from buildings 9 and 10.

that is correct but if you are going to shoot out you will leave before 10 oclock no wake starts after 10

if you want Camden put your name in the waiting list, usually people bail when it gets closer.

Ledges is a great back up

Lands End is also in the same basic area as the Ledges. Very nice condos. Plus they have about the best view at the lake.
