last of the glasswork ready to go,
i noticed when i wet out 1708 the material rolls up and unrolls nice
when i used the 1700 to bond in the transom patch the 1700 didn't hold it's shape as much as the 1708 did.
now im ready to put 4 layers of 1700 over the patch, the pieces are 30 h x 20 w.
on a thread from 6-7 years ago (epoxy adhesion question) you mentioned wetting out and balancing
prior to placement which is what i've done most of the time but w/ 1708.
what did you use, roller or sqeegee ?
trying to keep the material in correct shape for strength and looks, what other technique could i try.
no problem mixing a batch and trying it, it can come right off if it goes bad then reground the next day.
or if it looks good i'd just keep going.
other thing if i'm not comfortable going wet on wet immediately could i wait 30- 45 minutes before the next layer
1700 and 635 3 to 1 med hardener, temps hi 70's low 80's
thank you
