Anyone ever hear of Dannys trannys out of Hudson FL? I've had mine rebuilt a number of times and won't hang together and done with it. Otherwise any recommendations. I don't wanna mess with a core. It's behind a 421 625hp in a 73 Camaro z. I'd rather not go back to a 400 if I don't have to.
The little bit of research I did on them sound very positive.
Tks

you cam make 350's live with that power, but you will need to find a performance trans shop or buy one from one that knows what it takes to make it live..I see you are in MI, if you are ck with smitty's trans artifriends on here, he can set you strait

Tks guys. Started out in high school with the 4 speed Muncie'S and still remember smelling like 90 weight every other week or so. I then moved on to a well built 400 and lasted many years. At that time had the driveshaft shortened, balanced etc. Sold the car at one point and it went though a couple owners I actually knew and wound back up with it having a 350 back in it with a custom driveshaft. (It was hard on them also) I've considered going back with 400 but just rather not at this point if I don't have to. Now that it was mentioned I do remember smith and trans shop on other side of the state I believe. Blue moon out of gr use to do them and he's a boater. Haven't heard from him in years. I am I'm the middle of selling a business and extremely busy and was just looking for the ease of being delivered. The one in it now is cursed I swear. I just want it gone. No rebuild on that one. It's was rebuilt a total of 4 times with same symptoms. Been looking around and ran across that particular place in FL that rated up to 650 hp and x tq. Can't remember but it all seemed to fit in and comes with good warranty. My and the previous owner last rebuilds came with a Tks and catch ya on the rebound.
Son is sixteen and chomping at the bit to get in the drivers seat but would have his hands full currently even though he's an awesome driver and can drift like no other not good plan yet!!!!!
I will pm Smitty.

Also been so long but is it best to treat the tranny cooler like a grenaded BBC oil cooler in a boat? Toss it and get another. Also what about the torque converter. Currently has a decent b&m 3,000-3,400 stall converter. Get new?
