I do understand your point. Had a walk around cuddy cabin years ago when I was doing a lot of scuba diving. Loved the openness and room but always worried about taking a big one over the bow and the self draining cockpit and pump couldn't handle it.

I guess if there were enough bilge pumps or a couple high output that would take some worries away. But one good wave could dump 500-1000 gallons or more, right now. Don't know much about the new center counsels construction .Do they incorporate flotation into the build (foam) between inner and outer fiberglass mouldings. That would be a life saver if caught in a bad situation.
