Default Bikes & Boats

How many of you have both a bike & boat? If you have both what do you like better?

I have two bikes. A 12' FLSTF Fatboy and 07' FXDWG Wide Glide. Usually ride during the week and boat on the weekends.

I have a Yamaha FJR, but if it's summer and the sun is out, I'm on the boat.

I have a Trek carbon fiber I like to take a long morning ride and then chill out on the boat in the afternoon.

I just picked up a new Road Glide, if it’s between 50*-70*, I’ll be on the bike. Above 70*, I’ll be on the boat. I enjoy boating more, but far less upkeep and planning goes into taking the bike out. The logistics of trailer boating and getting everyone on the same page for a weekend trip to the water can be like wrangling cats sometimes, and if the waves are more than 1-2 feet, I’m going to usually end up running the boat alone anyway.

Man... tough to commit to liking one more than the other. I am passionate about both... well and cars too.

I jones for all of them, and a perfect weekend includes figuring out a way to weave each of them into the picture. My current bike is a 2017 Aprilia RSV4. Car is a 2018 Corvette Z06(boat is Hustler Talon).

Agree 100% with the the earlier comment reagrding all of the orchestration required for boating... bike certainly less so.

A Harley road king for whenever I feel like a ride and get to hang out with the club and the cigarette for a beautiful day, a cruise and swim.

Always been a boater, but have had my far share of bikes. 2 yrs ago I thought I wanted to take a break from boating and start riding again. Sold the Fountain and the cruiser, bought a '13 Ultra Classic. A month later a traded that in on a '15 SGS. 12 months later traded that one in for '17 CVO SG and still have it. Missed being on the water too much, so bought another cruiser this past Oct. Boating once again will be my weekend relaxation, and ride the bike during the week.
