Another high school shooting in Parkland. "Numerous fatalities". They caught the little bast*rd and allowed him to live.

Lead story on the world news, absolutely terrible.
How the Hell are teenagers getting hold of guns and knowing how to operate them?

Thoughts for all those effected by this tragedy.

Guns have always been around. The difference is back in the day it never occurred to us kids to mass-murder our fellow students. Why so many kids resort to mass-murder nowadays is beyond me.

While I see no value in the AR-15s of the world, it is not the guns. The younger generations of today seem numb to this stuff. I think it has a lot to do with the violent video games. The thing that strikes me is the demeanor of the survivors. When you watch these kids being interviewed its amazing how composed they are. I hate to be the hard-azz here because this shooter did not have an easy childhood (neither did I) but why not fight fire with fire. Instead of all of us paying to feed this kid, house him, pay for his health care, etc for the next 20-years until we can finally put him to sleep, why not arrest him, stand him up in front of the world and plant one behind his ear. A .22 works best as they don't have the velocity to come out the other side and act like a blender inside. Do that a few times and all of the sudden you have everyone's attention. It becomes "If you do this, here's what your fate will be". As for civil rights, to me one flushes those when they commit these types of acts. Kill someone in a premeditated way, you've given up all your rights. I'm telling you guys, I SHOULD BE KING!

Prayers to the members of the community... It will never be the same. Can't blame the gun for what the owner does like you can't blame a boat for the owner pushing the throttles.
The laws will change only to make it harder for the law abiding citizens who purchase legally...

Simple solution- raise the price of Ammo to $10-$20 a round. Then it would be a little harder for the little Fokers.
I have my 2000 rounds for the SKS - So I am good

And yes- some of these video games numb them to it I Think.

When I was growing up we got in fights, fights hurt and you learn to not do it as much. I won some, lost some, but never thought about blowing away anyone as a result, you just suck it up and go on. Kids are pussies today, it's easier to stand at a distance and pull a trigger rather than getting your ass kicked. Internet doesn't help either with all the social media baloney they're sucked into.

Also, if you get caught fighting you get expelled from school so kids are less inclined to be kids and settle it like has been done for eons.

I agree. When I was in 8th grade, there was a kid who pushed me around and demanded me to give him my lunch money. I was a fatherless kid, so I didn't know what to do. After a few weeks, I decided to fight back so I hid behind a garage we all walked past every day. When he came around the corner, I ambushed him and really went at him. He was a mess. They couldn't suspend me because it was not on school grounds. After he healed we talked face to face. Long story short, by the time we went to high school we became good friends as we are to this day. In those days, the thought of killing or shooting never entered my mind. I really think the video games make todays kids numb to the consequences. To me, brutal (but painless) execution will show in color what the consequences will be. Pizz on their civil rights. This kid in parkland is on suicide watch. Why not give him a rope?
