classic movie, cheesy is right, but the story line is a loose interpretation of one i've heard before.
could be remade w/out the cheese, keep the boat scenes etc and maybe have the main character / boat builder played by travolta

Apart from a couple of boat shots and a some questionable action sequences, that's an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back.
To be fair, it was a tele-movie made nearly 30 years ago, let's hope Travolta's upcoming big screen release is a lot better.
