Default Boyne Thunder Poker Run Marshall Boat

Started putting the Boyne Thunder Marshall Boat list together. Going to be short 4 boats due to weddings and summer stuff getting in the way. If you know anyone that is coming to watch and might be interested let me know.

Pretty simple, just need to keep people clear of the poker run course. July 14th for the am portion of the run. I need one in front of the channel in Charlevoix and a couple down by Elk Rapids and North Port. The powerboaters are pretty good, it is the Kayak people that want to go out into the middle of 120 boats.

Did anyone hear about dockage yet?

Also, I passed this along to my friend who runs a 36 Baja, not sure if his engines will be done by then or not.

From our past experience working this event as a marshal it is a fun time. If you're stationed on the route to Elk Rapids you'll see the boat come by in large groups within each wave. Once they pass you can run over to the light house and see them a second time as they run from Elk Rapids to Northport or head up to the Northport area and see them run back to Lake Char..
Do it !!!n

whether or not we got assigned dockage to stay in the water.

Would like to know so I can book a house/resort accordingly.

If you are registered for the run, Barb ( BC Harbor Master) will do everything in her power to get you a spot. She just needs to wait until all the boats are set , then she starts to find space.

Thanks.

Anyone know if they run a shuttle from Boyne Mountain to the city? Also, what is the Uber coverage like if we stay in a house 4 mi away from downtown, somewhat in the boonies?
