Default What is your opinion about this type of hull?

Hi guys, I wanted to ask you what opinion this hull deserves, because my brother wants to buy this boat and we wanted to know what you think about the hull
Boat : Pacific Craft Rx30
The engines would be 2 x 300 Yamaha
The intention is not to consume a large amount of gas, to be safe in the open sea and to have a little speed (55 knots) My brother likes to make small weekend trips with his wife and I will also go with him hen I have free time.
I think that this type of hulls with steps are boats designed to run, but I would like to have the opinion of people more expert than me.

Thank you for your answers

Don't know anything about the boat but it looks like a nice sharp entry

Good idea to include a link for more info....
pacific-craft-30-rx.html

It looks like a very nice boat and some good styling. Has a lot of room on board thanks to it's near 10' beam. The bow has a fine entry (as mentioned by Indy) and also a big flare due to the beam. The flare will help disperse water when it gets rough but the bow tends to 'droop' downwards slightly which brings the nose closer to the water. If you're boating in rough water, she might hit the waves pretty hard despite the fine entry? Not sure.....

Bit hard for a predominantly American forum to have knowledge on a European boat. There's so many great CC boats available in America now so very few are imported from elsewhere. A boat can look great in pics and on websites but be a different animal at sea. Have you found any test reviews on the boat? Any Euoropean based boating forums out there where you might get first hand knowledge? Can the manufacturer or dealer organize a Sea trial?

Sorry, not a great help, wish you luck.

RR
