Default New Spectre 32 comes out swinging

We had no plans of capping this boat, but when it came down to it, we wanted to compare our hulls weight to the ones built in Florida and the one we got from Florida. The hulls built in Florida are well built and super strong. So, we wanted to see what we could improve on with our fully infused 32's. The results were astounding to say the least and I could not be more happy with my crew.

We still have to build the hatches, the dash, waiting on a windshield and a few other parts, then it is ready to head out of here to be finished with twin 400R's.

The Florida built Spectre's are running in the 115-120 mph range, so we are excited and feel very confident we have a solid 120 mph boat.

We will not be rigging this boat. We are trying to get away from some of the paint, rigging and interior for right now. Owens and Sons is building the trailer for us, then it is out of here. We will post more pictures as we progress.

I will know more where they are taking it here shortly.

I have been talking to guys in different states, trying to set up a network of riggers, painters, etc. I will be sending one of them to Grant Bruggemann sometime this year and the others are in the air right now. I actually owe Grant a call back now to reserve a spot and we will be working with Troy at Supreme Marine also.

Capping is where you grind both sides of the deck and hull joint area, on the outside, down enough to go back over it with a solid piece of glass spanning the deck and the hull. This then eliminates the joint area and joins the hull and deck on the inside and out. Then there is a lot of sanding and fairing work done to make it look smooth and joint-less. Capping them lets the owner not have to run a rub rail and if done correctly, the boat is stronger at the joint area. It is very labor intensive and expensive to do. Here is a picture of a Talon we capped. Thanks Todd
