Default How should strainers/cooling system be done?

Std bravo side pickups currently. have closed cooling system for blowers (which I definitely want a strainer on) and likely a closed system for engines. two stage seapump on each engine

Was thinking separate pickups to strainer to one stage on seapump to blower heat exchanger

OEM setup doesnt have a strainer on it so would it be fine to go from drive pickup, to sea pump, to engine exchanger? Just run strainer on blower exchanger circuit since that exchanger will clog alot easier than the much larger tube design of the engine exchanger

Is there a large strainer with dual inlets and dual outlets I could get, feed it with the bravo pickups to start, and have each stage of seapump draw from? If I find one losing pressure I can then add transom mounted pickups or something and plumb that into the other inlet? That seems like the easiest way to get it figured out and not have to rearrange stuff a few times

No one has ideas on how to set something like this up?

I was thinking of using something like this on the suction side of the blower exchanger stage of the pump. They have 3 different mesh filter ratings, start off with the finest one. If it clogs too easy could step down to next coarser one and make sure its not letting anything through big enough to clog up exchanger. Cheap enough to keep a spare on board

Mesh strainer

I dont think the engine side of things would have to be super fine though, as alot of stock sea pump setups dont have strainers in them out of the box do they? Was looking at the one below, and I thin in the 1000S and 1210S they also have an additional finer element available, and their site has pressure/drop flow charts that look ok, less than 5 psi pressure drop at 35-40gpm/ Not sure about the capacity before getting full up though
Bonze strainer

Any better ideas/suggestions?

many wake board boats use those exact plastic mesh strainers. Not much for sport boaters. The O ring is very important for the seal on the plastic mesh ones you posted. I work on many wake boats so I know of the issue firsthand.

I would buy the teague custom marine sea strainers, they retail for 300 bucks

These are stainless elements in the ones I posted they have plastic, stainless and monel? ones - and choices of buna-n or viton rubber o rings. Not sure which rubber would be best.

I need strainers for blower exchangers and for cooling system exchanger. 300 4 times around gets kinda pricey. And they arent nearly as fine a filter as I would want on the blower exchanger loop, its not a typical tube exchanger its a much more efficient plate type

The bronze top ones are $180-200

Default 32 fountain fever 502 mpi bravo ones low water pickups.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I’m looking to install sand sea strainers on my boat. And I want to know what the best strainers are. Having a problem with fine sand and sea grass. Haven’t over heated the engine yet because I’ve been flushing them every other time I use the boat just to be safe. And it’s getting old quick. Any help would be great
