I am still trying to decide whether I am going to reuse them or go with a different grind. They are pretty close to what I am looking for, but idle quality is pretty important to this customer. Going to be 547ci, 9.5-1 compression, AK Racing CNC'd heads and Holley EFI. Looking for 700hp. Any chance of this happening?

I have very similar cams in mine. 502s. EQ heads. carbbed app. I don't see any problems with these idling when properly tuned. I made 565 at 5800 in full marine trim with etops. Would have done better with long tubes. I think you can make your power

I believe that the EFI should go long way for good idle quality that lets you get away with a little more aggressive cam than a carbed version. Which Holley system?
Small thread jack here. I’m looking at a cam that supposedly came out of a 525EFI but has no numbers on the nose. Just the casting# on the shaft of 0888 20024364. Is there a way to identify for sure?

For sure a Comp Custom Grind , they serialize them like that , Int Master , Exh master
R for roller , 114 LC . Serial Number .
Call Derek Hubbard at Comp , he will send you a cam card ,
He found one on a cam ground in 2001 for me.

It is probably a custom grind. Just give them the serial number D6396-04
