Hi All, Stupid question but I recently sold my 272 and bought a 30 Outlaw w/ 496mags. My 272 did not have trim tabs, but my 30 does and I was wondering if someone could give me some insight on positioning of the tabs when leaving the hole.

If you really want to plane out quickly, drop them all the way. Drives in as well and you'll keep the bow lower and get planing quickly. Don't be afraid to use the tabs, that's what they're for! Just be sure to bring everything up as you get on the plane. It's better to put a bit of stress on your tabs and trim and accelerate gently to save the drives from stress.
Of course a quick hole shot isn't everything, gentle acceleration is the key to longevity.
Worthwhile on a new boat to check your drive and trim gauges are accurate. With the boat out of the water, set your tabs and drives parallel to the bottom of the hull. I'd call this neutral trim. Check your indicators and see what they're showing so you have a starting point for all your trim.
Enjoy the Outlaw!
