Hey guys,
so, I am a very diy boater. Maintenance to repairs to, well, you name it. So, with that being said, how many of you have built your own covered storage? I am in Texas, the sun sucks, the Heat is oppressive and it rains mud... before I buy another boat (I am fairly set on one of two, same length different manufacturers) I would like to build a covered storage .
I have a levelled piece of the yard where I parked boats before, but even covers can't keep Texas out. Was thinking of a pole type setup with a roof similar to the house to keep it clean. Prengineered trusses seem to be a good way to go, I am assuming 24 OC... anyhow, just wanted to see of any of you crazy cats have any experiences to share...pics are cool too... thanks all!

Built this last year. Works great and lean to wings are coming soon.

This is a Northern tool winch that has no trouble lifting a big block.

Hand crank winches lift my engine hatch clear and dry during the rebuild.

I got a 1/2 ton chain hoist for like $80 from Harbor Freight and I love it. I don’t do production and like how slow it is and able to do slight movements without the jerkiness of electric hoist.
