Talking BB502 MPI question

Hi friends -
My boat has twin 502 MPI's that are bone stock. I was curious what kind of rpm's most of you run your 502's at during a long cruise (i.e. 2, 3, 4+ hours constant)? Thanks!

These motors were made to run all day pinned if that is what you want to do.
However nobody does this.Well it isn't normal anyway.
Cruise RPM is what you and your boat are comfortable with taking all factors, waves, fuel, crew comfort into consideration.
When i had the Fastlane 40 with 502's 3200 - 3400rpm was just right loping along.

Thanks for your response. I typically run anywhere from 3200-3600 depending upon conditions. I’ve done a few spirited runs at the 3800-4000 runs but not for any long periods.

I run 3400 to 3600. That's a nice cruise pace. Any faster has a different feel about the boat. No longer just a cruise.

I would vary the rpms throughout the trip for a 2-4 hr cruise. Probably from 3200-4000 rpms.
I generally run 3400-4000 rpms for cruise, speeds of 48-60mph but most of my trips are only 20-40 minutes between stops.
