Looking for a opinions on a good electric oil extraction pump that can hold up to 6 gallons. Anyone use something like this in here?

I have used one for many years. I think it is a Jabsco but will have to check. The pump sits in top of a 5 gallon plastic bucket and has two long power leads that clip to the boat battery . I have used it to suck the oil through the dip stick but the last few years I attach it to the end of oil drain hose that I had Eddie Young install when he was rebuilding my engine.

Bought mine at West Marine, likely their house brand. It is a flat rectangular shape that is very unlikely to tip over. Very happy with it.

I had a vacuum many years ago and later bought the 12V electric. Don't waste your money of the vacuum version. Mine's nearly 20 yrs old and while pretty ugly now, still works fine. (jabsco pump on a 5 gallon bucket)

The west marine electric use jabsco pumps, at least the two I have do. But if you need to hold 6 gallons you could just buy a jabsco pump and rig it on a bigger bucket. Make sure whatever pump you buy is rated for use with oil based products.

And 3 10 gallon buckets from home depot or lowes... This is probably the route I'm going to go. Otherwise a cool option would be this:

But it's expensive and I'm not sure on installation and plumbing...

Thanks for the replies gents. I ended buying the West Marine unit with a 3.5 gallon capacity. Swapped the bucket out for a 5-gallon home depot one. It worked great as long as you get the oil up to operating temperature.

The electric pumps I tried need the oil to be warmed up which is a pain or not possible in some situations. If the oil is cold the electric jobs nearly burn up and take forever. I switched to the vacuum system that Mightyvac makes MV7201 and I don't have to warm the oil or anything I pump out or in. This system will pump out or in and is faster than the electric systems if I ran it cold.
If a person did not want to pump up a vacuum tube then they also make the MV7300 that uses compressed shop air to run a vacuum pump like the AC evacuation systems. Also this is not limited to a charged battery or power limitations due to location.
