Default Valve lash caps?

Ok, this seems like a stupid question, but as I’m digging through the weeds putting my heads together I see an option for valve lash caps. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. My springs are about 150# on the seat and 450# open.

Worth dicking around with?

First I’ve heard of them and it just seems like more **** that can go wrong. Handy if your push rods are just a smidge short though, lol.

only time I have ever seen or used them was with titanium valves. they are needed to protect the end of the valve stem. other than that they are not needed.
