Default Captain call exhaust

Want to disconnect my captain call exhaust. I keep burning out selenoids. is it ok to disconnect the selenoids and somehow just zip tie the valve in the closed position to exit exhaust out the drive. Will this damage my engine.

It shouldn't. You are just doing the same mechanical action the actuators are doing.

I think its safe to say there are more pleasure crafts out there than performance boats. And most of them exhaust only through the y-pipe and out the prop. And absolutely no engine damage occours.

Diverters (Captains Call, Silent Choice) can be run open or closed full time and will not hurt your motor
