You can pick up a 10' length of 1/2" aluminum tubing at your local electrical supply house. If I remember correctly, when I converted my tank to 1/2" I welded a 12AN bung to the tank, then threaded the 1/2" pipe into 12AN to 10AN male adapter fitting. (you will have to thread the inside of the fitting) Then thread the fitting/pickup tube into the bung using an "O" ring. You can attach the 10AN fuel hose to the fitting. I do not know if this is the easiest approach but it has worked flawlessly for years.
Hope it helps - Dave

Big thing is what size fitting do you have in your gas tank.
I had a 3/8th NPT female fitting into my tank. I custom made one out of 1/2" ID x 9/16" OD SST tubing. I got the tubing from Microgroup, Medway Mass. (you can find them on the internet) and welded the tubing to a SST 90 deg Street Elbow (3/8" MNPT x 1/2 NPTF). The 9/16 OD tubing fits snugly through the 3/8" female NPT. I then used #10 AN fittings to the aeromotive pump so I have a FULL 1/2 ID right to the pump.
I'd strongly recommend using the Aeromotive inlet screen filter and place the water separator/filter after the pump.
Good Luck
I think I had about $80.00 in parts for a pair of them by the time I was done
