Default anti siphon valves

I know its been talked about before but I'm curious as to specifically my application if I can or should take mine out during my upgrade....boat is a 97 Nordic heat with saddle tanks...engine is a 454 bored with 8-71 blower KE upgraded mechanical pump with 2 holley 750's....the pick up tubes are above the fuel pump and the lines run into an imco fuel selector then out to the water separator which has been upgraded to one with 1/2 inch ports and then to the pump then obviously to the carbs...I understand their purpose but I'm just worried about the restriction...should I replace them with new or just pull them?? thoughts??

thanks

Assuming no 90's etc and clean plumbing I'd say you'd be fine. Would definately install a low pressure sensor with dash light though. Otherwise Rookie and others have posted some very reasonable fuel seperators. Can't remember if they were. -8 or -10 port. Both available though. We ran 1/2" on 454's with 420 mb's around 700 hp years ago with practically stock everything and no issues. Cpperformance has what you need for adjustable sensor and flush mount dash light cheap.

Instsll that either way you go.

Also what size hose hose is coming from fuel tank?

It's all -8 AN from the tank all the way to the carbs...I'm replacing everything from the tanks on...that's why I was wondering if I should try to make the anti siphons work or just ditch them and throw a NPT to AN adapter in their place and run the hoses from there??

thanks
