Default water intake hose question

need 1-1/4 wire reinforced intake hose, no question there are probably many different levels of quality.
what i don't know is which brand to go with.
the problem that might exist is the distance from the transom assembly water inlet tube to
the inlet on the sea strainer.
the distance is 15 inches, so i need a hose that will bend into a horse shoe w/in that space.
a 90 npt / hose fitting will stick up from the strainer.
if i can't find hose that will accommodate that bend, then the sea strainer will have to go outboard
of the stringer.
that would mean the strainer (that i want) would be 180* the wrong direction,
and the hose from strainer to pump would have to go thru the stringer and i would rather not have to do that

the strainer has to be ordered soon so any advice about plumbing from the transom assembly thru the pump
would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys
