I know there can be issues, my transom assy was replaced about 6 years ago it has a number stamped into the top pin cap that is 2A088906. I know or heard that some transom units need the bearing replaced to clear a 1X as it's input shaft is slightly different.

Should fit no problem. Your gimbal bearing should have a white dot on it.
