lookin for insight regarding Sunsation 34CCX vs Renegade 33 Open. Both being powered with triple 400r’s. Give me your thoughts on these two boats.

Thanks, Chris.

Either with trip 400's is a waste of money

Is the ROI on the third motor not there?

These boats should run mid 80's with triples. What do they run with twins? I think Chris is looking for enough power to cruise at 60-65.

Also, not sure on Fountain pricing, but I don't think MTI or Nortech are at similar price points.

I inquired about a 340 Sunsation. With twin 350's it will do mid to high 70's With twin 400's it will touch 81 or so. I really would not see the need for triples on this boat.

I'd have to see that to believe it.

I did see a youtube video of a Sunsation running 81 with twins. However, it was clearly very cold outside and they mentioned jack plates, so absolutely perfect conditions and modified. I would think that is a 75 mph boat in ordinary use at best.

That makes a reasonable cruise speed of 45-50 mph.

Those are the speeds the 32 Sunny will run with twin 350s. A twin 34 will not run those speeds.
