Default Closed cooling for 1100 hp

Has anyone tried installing closed cooling on 1100 plus hp supercharged motors. Would think there are a lot of benifits to this in salt water running and keeping the motors at a more stable temp.

I don't see it being difficult, just going to need a rather large heat exchanger and probably a 2 if not 3 stage sea water pump. If I took the time I could figure out the size as you know roughly how much 1100hp is in btu. Roughly 30% of those BTU goes thru the cooling system, figure out your delta between lake and engine water and that will tell you cooler size. Cooler isn't going to be cheap thou, somewhere in the 2k range as it will need to be all brass.

I’m sure it would be expensive but could you order one from Mercury? I’m sure the ones they currently use on the 1100’s and 1350’s would work.
