Can anyone tell me some info on this older Mercruiser racing engine?

looks like one of the open class motors from the 80's or 90's. depending on the year and if it has been modified it should be a 510 inch with either 13 to 1 or 12 to 1 compression. most were lease motors. you bought it and went on the program and the rebuilds were a set price. should be good for around 7500 to 7800 sustained rpm but they dont make any power till around 4500 or so.
