Lucas finished 2nd, very impressive race today.
US boys kicken butt, big time credit goes to the crew and Lucas for all the effort involved to compete over the pond.

I love the Great Race and The Trinidad and Tobago group does a great job all year promoting their events and letting you get involved from a far. Very cool deal they have there.

This is some good drone footage showing the fierce battle in Maracas Bay between Lucas Oil and Mr. Solo about 1/3 of the way to Tobago.
Here Lucas Oil was running in 3rd place managed to stay ahead of Solo, but shortly after this clip they lost some power in the starboard engine and were repassed by Mr Solo and by Jumbie.
Subsequently, Jumbie lost their GPS system in a squall (and their line into Tobago) and were repassed by Lucas Oil.
Finally, Mr Solo blew an engine during the finishing laps in Tobago allowing Lucas Oil to pass them! Lucas Oil finishes in 2nd place on 1.5 engines behind Monster (who didn't miss a beat).
What a GREAT RACE!
