I'm trying to determine the value of my 1997 Formula Fastech 312.
It's got twin 7.4lx MPI's with less than 500 original hours.
The motors were rebuilt 10 years ago around the 420 hour mark, the Bravo ones drives as well. (with proof!)
The boat sat in storage since 2009 until 2014 when it was taken out ran through and used a few times (always taken out after every use). Guy was going through a divorce so i bought it.
I had it ran through and was told it was in excellent shape (mechanically) trim wasnt working, i had the sending units changed.
Power Mcleod seats with power footrests
Tri-Axle load master trailer (1999) brand new tires going on this week.
The cons to the boat (if anyone has any insight on these issues, let me know please!)
The silent choice seals are beyond finished/ dried out, i'm trying to figure out where to buy them / replace them
The drivers seat wasn't holding so i took it apart to change the motor (turns out you need to take the whole seat out)
The passenger side footrest started to pop the curcuit all of a sudden (worked perfectly all summer)
I broke an oil pressure switch and a prop going over a 55 searay's wake
oil slowly leaked into the bottom <had it checked right away, no damage>
1 Brand new prop, 2 brand new oil pressure switches and an oil change on both engines for the third time this summer later
anyways question being how to a remove that oil from the bottom of the engine bay
Thanks all for the input

When I clean my bilge (quite often) I get a bottle of awesome degreaser from the dollar store. Mix it 50/50 with hot water. Spray it all in there. Let it sit about 5 mins and wash it out with my steam cleaner or even just pull the tip and low pressure hit water.

All good advice. Only additional info would be to be careful with pressurized water around areas where things are bolted/screwed into/through the transom and stringers. Last thing you want to do is give rot a chance to take hold.
And definitely pull the breaker for the bilge pumps! Could be quite interesting for someone riding next to the boat in traffic!
