I want to add 1 or 2 rear facing cameras to connect to the dash mounted Garmin 7410. I would probably want to mount the cameras to the top of the windshield. There are 2 composite inputs on the Garmin. I would like wide angled cameras if possible, but need them to be pretty small. They would purely be to see any traffic behind me. Thanks!

We run one of our VIRB cameras as a rear view sometimes. If we know the waterway I put it on the center 7610 so we can watch our 6 while running without doing yoga.

Which VIRB do you use? I'd like to "hardwire" a camera instead of wifi so that I do not need to mess with batteries. Last week at the Shootout I saw some "lipstick" cameras on several boats, and I should have asked, but did not.

Just a suggestion but you could install a waterproof small 12vdc plug somewhere near where the camera would be. The Garmin cameras have an option for a 12vdc power cord that clips on. You would just need to put the plug on the other end and plug it in when you want to use it. Depending on the location take a look the VIRB360. If mounted like Sam's you can see all around the boat.

We have a hardwire on the dash for the one we use there but not for the stern camera because we move it around sometimes.
