What have you guys done for power with your 28 Cyclones with twins and what were your top speeds? I understand Purple Haze spent much of it's life with 1100's does anyone know how fast it was?

So nobody has motors in their 28's. I'm considering some winter mods or even repowering over the winter and looking to see what others experience has been.

i have not ran them in and out of the rough water hard. only have probably 30 hours one them, gear oil looks great with no metal on the plugs. here is the good part, they have 1000 plus hours behind some stock 454 mpi engines that i did run hard in the rough stuff. i was going to have them rebuilt but i'm almost afraid to touch them.remember our boats are small and much lighter than the guy killing them behind a 38 cigarette.

My last build had six great years with simple maintenance running in the speeds you are just with a single.
