I'm close to ordering a 2019 F-250 Lariat Supper Duty. One of the options I'm considering are the retractable running boards. Keeping in mind I live in Western New York (snow, ice, slush etc.) does anyone have experience with these? Will they be a maintenance night mare? My neighbor across the street had an F-150 with these and no problems but I'm looking for more opinions.
Thanks,

Amp power steps , just put another set on my new 18 ram yesterday , I had them on my 15 ram I traded in they work great . In the slop and ice build season I some times just unplug them and they stay folded up . Amp is a good product and built tough .

575, not sure this is apples to apples as the Ford is OEM (I think) Are you saying Ford uses the Amp Step?

I do not about Ford but Gm ,s steps are made by AMP as far as I know . Some people leave them down all winter and when not in use arthritis sets in . Keep them flushed out and the manual says lube them with silicone spay , I have never lube mine on the other truck and never gave a problem .

These were ford OEM steps. I'm not sure who ford uses for their steps. Maybe it's a Lincoln issue. I know in my area I see Navigators everywhere with one running board sticking out going down the road. This usually means that they are stuck and won't go back in. They act like a garage door opener. If they encounter any resistance when trying to go back up, they extend out and stay there.
