Default Adding Vessel View to NON Mercury Engines???

Can Smart Craft Vessel View be added to NON Mercury engines? Have a pair of Teague 1200's with MEFI 4a and am curious if i can get the Vessel View interface through a Simrad display.

From my searching you should be able to use the NoLand RS11 piggy tailed off your current gauges/senders. Take the NMEA2000 data from the RS11 and connect to the vessel view.I'll hopefully be playing with this over the winter. Analog to digital conversion.

The Noland RS-11 is a good unit but it's not going to make your MEFI 4a data compatible with VesselView. You can get engine data from MEFI 4a to a NEMA 2000 compliant display with the appropriate gateway. You can use any NEMA 2000 display, but not VesselView.

I believe if you pigtail your senders into the RS11 and bypass the MEFI 4 and then from the RS11 to the Vessel view is what I gather.
Not arguing just trying to learn myself.

I planned on using the Livorsi Data gateway Livorsi Marine, Inc. Data Gateway to convert to NEMA 2000 but not sure if its possible to get the VV interface on the Simrad without the VV link box. Id need to somehow run my engine data in to a smartcraft harness and plug it in to the VV link control box. Hope i didn't lose anyone..

You should be able to display information sent in NMEA2000 format from the Noland unit or the Livorsi unit on any of the current Simrad offerings; no need to make the data "Vessel View" specific.

I just like the looks of the Vessel View gauge interface, the standard Garmin/Simrad Gauge page doesn't look as good in my opinion. Not a deal breaker but if it wasn't too hard of a job id try to make it happen. I will be using the Livorsi gateway to hook in to NEMA 2000.

cant say on this exact app, but I know the data from/for this stuff is unreal picky !!! I have smartcraft on a optimax outboard, older one, needed new gauges, bought 2 different sets(all merc) updated harness, even sent the ECM bac to merc as they said they could update it and be fine...after a year of messing with it and $$$$$ changed to analog gauges and made my own stand along harness for them, kept the faded smartcraft gauges under the help to read codes etc...

If my memory serves me correctly there was an Orange 46 Skater for sale a while back that had Smartcraft with out Mercury engines. I cant recall for sure who's engines were in there or who had the listing, Possibly Precision Marine Engines ? May give them a call and see if they can point me in the right direction.
