I have a Tube style Swim platform that was on my Fountain when I bought it. The White (Paint?) or whatever is coming off and I would like to have it redone in White Powdercoat. My question is, it had a texture on the top of the tubes (kinda like sand under the paint) and I have looked at a couple of samples of "Texturized Powdercoating" that has the wrinkles in it, (kinda krinkle coat like)

Anyway If I go with the Textured white powdercoat is it going to be hard to keep clean?? Won't exhaust soot get in the texture and be a pain to get out??

If I go with just plain white will it be to slippery to walk on when wet??

The ones on Baja and others (from Extreme Marine), have non-skid strips. One guy I know with a 35 TS was able to get them colored. He has a purple swim platform and the non-skid strips are yellow. Looks pretty cool.

I would say if they cant powdercoat some texture strips in there to the way you want it, then i would just have it done smooth and then go to a hobby shop or skate board shop and but some of the grip tape they use for skate boards. You can get it in most any color and as long as you apply it right it should hold up fairly good! And besides if it starts to look bad just peel it off and apply new for a couple bucks!

Baja dude, isn't the rubber non-skid strips on the baja's inlaid into the tubing?? If so mine isn't quite like that!

Brad, Jim Kruz at LOTO is a good friend of KCHOTBOATS, I have met him and just talked to him. He has a powder coating business. nextel 40*4421 I told him you might call he can do it.

I had the textured coating on the swim platform on my 28 Powerplay. The bracket was made by B-Bracket in Ft Lauderdale...ask for Mike..and yes, without the texture you're sure to bust your ass
