Default GM Tech help needed

I had an issue this summer with my "secondary truck". I drove it home and shut it off. 5 mins later I go out to start it and as it is starting it seems to kick back. I turn it over again and I get a zing noise. I check out the starter and it snapped the nose. No big deal 337,000 miles and only the 2nd starter. I replace it and now the truck has never started again. Turns over just fine, I lost all spark. Fuel pump has pressure, won't fire with starting fluid. Is there some special fuse, relay, switch that I am missing?

Sorry, forgot the real information. (lol, I'm an idiot)
1999 5.3L, stock ignition, scans clean, 12volts at fuses, ohm'd all fuses, swapped ignition relays around with ones from my other truck, they do click.

would be super helpful as to what you have here and year model. . What motor exactly and displacement and what year and GAS OR DIESEL. No offense kind of surprise you left all the important info out

Ignition set up in this app ??

Scan tool -- scan it is super easy for the auto side one can buy a new decent scan tool for a 100 bucks. All auto parts will scan your engine for free if you could get it to them. Most DLC s are under the dash.

Volt meter to all power points and for fuses and relays

did you connect all the leads back on the starter ?

Are the injectors firing just asking ?? Noid lites at the connectors will tell if you have power to the injectors.

Make sure you didn’t unplug the crank sensor,it’s behind the starter

its behind the started and the harness is tight and its easy to unplug the crank sensor while replacing the starter without knowing you unplugged it,wont be the first this has happened

I would plug a scan tool and surely if unplug the crank sensor fault would show ? I do not know access if starter has to be removed to check crank sensor connection ? If so I would scan it beforehand Just saying

if if he has a scanner all he would have to do is check for crank/RPM signal while cranking,

you can NOT see the crank sensor,starter must be removed

Yes and correct --- I understand the rpm signal when cranking -- and the scan could show something else as well. 337 K miles Im sure a scan is a bonus for that app.

I was pretty sure the connection would be very hard to get to or see with starter installed. The reason why I posted.

I do not work on the auto side professional but have a ton of GDI -- VVT training thru the auto side because I knew it was coming to the marine side. Started 3 years before it ever came to the boat side. Amazing how easy it is to get auto training compared to marine training. And alot for free as well. Auto side.
