Mercury 300xs didn't come into production until 2006 2007. Mercury 300x was been manufactured in 2004.

If they have the Sportmaster lower units, check for water in them. Every 3.0 Sportmaster will get water in it without after market billet seals..... thank Merc Racing for that.

flew down to atlanta to look at a scarab 30 sport cc with twin 300x , guy told me it was mint, no soft spots , low hrs on motors , total POS, floors were soft , floor in cabin wood was rotted, hull was repaired and had blisters all over ,hrs on motors went up from 200 to well im not sure how many .not clean kept out side with no cover . so if anyone is looking it was on craigeslist just south of atlanta.

oh yea and the mint triple trailer was shot ,no brakes rotted leaf springs
