I installed a garmin 7212 last season and was less than impressed with the maps that came on it. I see them advertise some pretty awesome looking maps on this model and show all of the underwater contours but I don't seem to have anything close to that. I see they have several versions of maps floating around out there and am wondering if one of those will give me what I am looking for or if the inland water just is not as documented as offshore. I boat mainly the Missouri river and lake of the ozarks with plans of Florida and Bahamas trips in the future. I thought for sure lake of the ozarks at minimum would have been much more detailed than it is on mine. Can anybody point me towards what I am looking for, assuming it exists? Thanks

The new Lake-Vu Ultra or something like that will be out in Feb. It comes with lots of nice stuff and what you are looking for. About $ 200-250 with 1 free upgrade/update.
I am waiting for that to be released. Lots of stuff like drawing your course in the middle of the channel and around land where your boat would go instead of the shortest distance ignoring obstacles such as land. Also super imposed chart/Ariel, marina photos and contact info.
