What do i do with the hose that comes out of the top of the water pump? On my old engine it went into the front of the manifold.new motors are gm tall deck 572s dart intake, closed cooling.

Actually with the setup you have it is needed. Without it there is no circulation in the block at all until the thermostat opens. A better option is a t stat housing that bypasses the heat exchanger until the t stat opens. That does the best job eliminating steam pockets.

what exhaust set up and how are you setting up the cooling for that ?

Could you drill holes in the T-Stat and plug that fitting hole?

gaffrig headers. There is a 2" freshwater inlet, and 2 maybe 3/4" freshwater outlets that feed to the headers.

Could i tee it into the maniford to the right of the water neck on the manifold where the water alarm switch is?

You could but I think it would be cleaner if you drill & tap the manifold. Looks like the boss is there.
