As a member for 20 years and a board member for the past 8-9 years, I can truly say that it was an honor and privilege to have been a part of the club. Thank you Dave for not only creating an exciting and safe club that revolved around our crazy and passionate sport but, also providing an amazing opportunity to meet like minded people with the same drive. The memories that we created will always be a huge part of my life (and some of the best stories that I continue to tell - LOL). As I sit here writing this, I can not help but think how much more this was than just a club, even more so than I think Dave could have ever imagined. Through the club I have created some of my dearest and closest friends that I now consider family. These friendships will remain through my entire life and I will always love and cherish my NJPPC Family!

Isn't there someone willing to step up and keep it going under a different name. Seems like a shame to just close it.

For the last several years now, I have said to myself that if Dave ever wanted to retire or whatever, that I would either continue the club or start a new one. However, last year a couple of people I know and respect started Spartan Powerboat Club out of Brick NJ and they now have the opportunity to step in and up. Myself and other former NJPPC board members have already offered help to the new club and look forward to continuing on with this sport.

Tom—story on exactly that topic going live tomorrow morning.

Rick—thank you for the kind words. As a reporter, it's been a pleasure cover the NJPPC. On a more personal level, my ties to the club run deep. Some of my favorite people in the go-fating boating world were part of it and they remain among my closest friends in the boating world. Amazing times shared with even more-amazing people.
