With the new engine (~625hp dyno trim) I’m going to use the Holley Sniper system and currently have the stock Baja 3/8” pick up tube in the tank with 3’ of 1/2” line running to the filter head. I’ve read everything from 3/8” is good for 800hp to you need -12 for anything over 500hp, but very little of that is practical marine experience, so I ask the OSO brain trust.

I ran a pair of 540's 630hp in a 33 Outlaw with factory fuel pickups never an issue...........-12 is for water, these aren't Top fuel motors

Thanks, Speedy. Given that the kit comes with entirely 3/8” line good for 650hp then the stock pick up should be adequate.

Might depend whether you're pulling or pushing the fuel, is there a check valve in the pick up, how many 90's.

We had the same concerns. We decided that as long as we can hold 6+ psi of NA fuel pressure at WOT we are good to go.
