Default Full Gasket Set for 496 MAG

Hello I am looking for a cheaper gasket set for my 496 Mag.
Overhaul Gasket Set Mercruiser 27-889924A01 costs over 800 USD and Gasket Set Components (27-883231A 1), Engine about 150USD and I think its too much to spend 1000 USD on gaskets for rebuilding my engine.
Deck was milled out 0.2mm and all cylinders were bored 030 making it 4.280 from 4.250 that was initially.
The block is a Gen 7 BBC (L18) with longer stroke (4.37) .

Because of decking i am not sure if i can use also the original head gaskets included in the mercruiser gasket sets so I contacted Cometic which recommended me the Cometic C5761/080 C5764/080 (260USD for both).

Do you have any recommendations on how to minimize the gasket cost from 1300 USD to a lower cost but without surprising quality?

For many Mercruiser products there are compatible/corresponding GM parts but i dint find gasket set.

Thanks

Do you think that this will fit my engine? Will it be an issue if i dont use thicker head gaskets? Maybe it is better to buy the Cometic C5761/080 C5764/080 for head and the Fel-Pro HS26168PT (and use the cometic for the head)?

I don't know off the top of my head if your above part number is correct. However, the "hs---" number is the head set number. You can buy the cometic head gaskets, again off the top of my head I don't know if the above number is correct either. You than buy what is referred to as a conversion set, which is a "cs----" and that gives you the remaining gaskets less the head gaskets.
