Default twin turbos on 330's super budget build Which turbo's?

I want to use ebay internal wastegate turbos on my 330's The engines have the larger oval port heads. Im going to mount them to Gil manifolds. I want to do a low boost (5 lbs, maybe 7 lbs) no intercooler. This is mainly for the WOW effect at the dock. Im am thinking that 500 hp is a safe number on the stock blocks. Ive looked at HX35's but not sure if they will even spool at 5psi. Anybody have suggestions from experience. Id like to do internal wastegates so I dont have to deal with that plumbing. This is going in a 1978 30' Scarab.

Easier way to make 500 hp with 454/330's and less expensive and headaches. Just my opinion.

Yes, I know I could do heads, cam and intake, but it doesnt have the same effect when you tell someone you have twin turbos

What affect? Laughter that you have a twin turbo setup and only make 500hp. Sell the motors and buy stock carbed HP500

Did you put forged pistons in it? Mercury uses forged everything in a 365hp. I don't think it will live. Specially no intercooler.

I only want to make 5 psi, so I don't need forged pistons for that. A pair of hp500 would cost more than a pair of turbos

Like 14 Apache mentioned. Remember the 454/330 pistons are cast as well as crank and 3/8 rods. My guess is you'll have nothing but headaches.

I can provide you with water jacked risers, and water jacketed internally gated turbine housings for GT30, 35, and 37 If that will help you out.
