Default Sourcing k plane pumps and lines also helm

Port pump runs but kplane gets stuck in full up whenever it feels like it

Just want to replace both and get back in the water.
Only thing not sure about is mounting when going from can to res type.

Also steering is too fast want to slow it way down, ill get the number off it later today

Have few weeks of other commitments and trying to move fast

Thanks

So when pump is running tab isn’t moving? Verify fluid level? Unhook limes and make sure tab moves up and down freely. Pop tank off and make sure everything is real clean. Debris even small can mess with valve body.

Also has steering always been fast? Twin engine? Are you positive steering lines are correct? I had this issue and it ended up being 2 lines swapped. I didn’t think about it at first because I marked everything when unhooked and hadn’t driven boat before I replaced some stuff. After putting back together the way it was taken apart I battled ultrafast steering. Latham was very helpful and we found 2 lines crossed. Steering was perfect after

Different size helm pumps will change the speed by increasing or decreasing the number of wheel rotations from lock to lock.
Find out what cc size pump you have and go to Imco's site to see what you size you'd like to change to by looking at the lock to lock charts. https://www.imcomarine.com/nvcatalog/imco_catalog.pdf

The pumps are somewhat generic (at least they are anymore). It seems to me once upon a time I found just the replacement pumps somewhere (maybe fleaBay) for what I considered reasonable and reused the reservoirs and stuff.
